It's amazing how one minute you're not and the next you are.
The title of mother is granted in an instant with the first meeting.
The stealing of your heart doesn't take much longer.
There's an incredulous moment of, this is really flesh of my flesh.
Then the instinct to nurture, to hold, to protect and to teach kick in and you're caught.
You not only hold the title but you embrace it and enlarge it.
I celebrate motherhood today because it's the only way to gain title to the most coveted of all titles, GRAMMY!

beautifully said mom. also, by becoming a mother, you begin to realize the tremendous love your own mother has for you. (although i've always felt it). love the women in my family.
