Last weekend the Burnhams invited us to their house on Lake Mead. We had a great time. The weather was cool and overcast for the most part so we enjoyed a jeep trip across the desert with Danny and Tracy and a short hike to some interesting and beautiful rock structures. Then we went to an art fair in Boulder City. The highlight of the trip was the day on the lake. We oooed and ahhhed at Joel's beautiful new boat. We did old people exploring and saw 15-20 mountain sheep hidden amongst the rocks along the shoreline. The Burnhams were great hosts and it was wonderful to spend time with our good friends that we don't see as much as we'd like to.

Two weeks ago Laurie and Bill drove the 15 hours from New Mexico to California just to visit. They showed amazing spontaneity in just hopping in their motor home and coming to Cali. They parked their motor home in the driveway and we felt like the Clark Griswald family with relatives in the front yard.
We played lots of old people tennis and because of Tom's sneakiness were able to pull off the win.

We walked on the beach and played Rummikub. Shared pictures of our grandchildren and felt the comfort that comes from being with family.

Cedar City Ladies Weekend
Steph and her sister Shelly invited me, Melissa and Tracy along for Shelly's birthday treat of going to Tuacahn in St. George to see Les Miserables. We had so much fun even though the trip to St. George was the longest ever with bathroom stops, shopping diversions and diet coke refills. We stayed at Granny's (Steph's moms) and ate lots of good food. We worked on projects in the quilt factory (the basement) and watched Allie Goettche play SUU soccer. Page joined us for much of our mini adventure. She's just starting her freshman year at SUU. It was a really fun get away with really fun friends.
(Thenardiers) The show was awesome!!
Our cute projects! Nasty women but cute bags.
